Senko Imamura
Customer Success Manager
I am an experienced B2B SaaS sales professional with a proven track record in account management, sales, and top tier customer service, with a passion for Asian art and antiquities.
Since graduating from Washington University in St. Louis, I have worked in a variety of client-facing sales positions, from brick and mortar auction houses to the B2B SaaS space. Each position has helped me hone my people skills and understand the challenges that face traditional businesses in an increasingly virtual world.
I deeply believe that there is no one size fits all model for the businesses that online marketplaces seek to help in modernizing, and that while all of them can benefit from adding digital services like payments, shipping, and insurance, understanding each business’ unique challenges is the base upon which healthy and long-term client relationships are built. I strive to represent my values of honesty and transparency as much as possible in building these relationships.
My position as an Asian Art Specialist at a regional auction house unlocked my creative skills in designing marketing materials, from social media posts to full magazine layouts. When not working on marketing strategy, I handled a steady stream of clients in-person, and developed my public speaking skills through video walkthroughs and taking the podium as an auctioneer once a month. Both of these skill sets came in handy when COVID hit, enabling me not only to teach daily webinars on auction software usage, but also to redesign the webinars to share information more efficiently and clearly.
While I primarily work in the technology space, my interest in Asian Art & Antiquities has not faded. I am an avid collector of vintage kimono and Japanese ceramics and lacquerware. I spend my summer evenings sailing and my winter weekends skiing, both hobbies I shared with my father until his death in 2016. I hope to honor his legacy by fundraising for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) whenever I am able.
